Who I have learned from:

I have learned from Jade.

She has always been interested in Humanitiesand is taking this class to fulfill her requirements towards her A.A.
1.In 1946, Freire became the director of the Pernambuco Dept. Of Education and culture of SESI ( The Social Service of Industry)
2.There are many Paulo Freire Institutes around the world but the first was established in 1991 in Sao Paulo.

I have also learned from Adina.

She is taking this class for the same reason as I am. She needed an online class and this was one of the few she had to choose from. However, we are both excited to learn something new.

1.In 1962, Paulo became the director of an adult literacy program, in which he taught 300 adults to read and write in 45 days.

2.As the result of a military overthrow in 1964, Paulo spent five years in jail, later being exiled to Bolivia, and eventually Chile.
